How to Kill Someone

The art of assassination has been studied since the ancient ages for the purpose of killing somebody for profit, revenge, justice, self defense or even pleasure. It is very difficult to kill a person effectively and not simple at all as movies would have you believe.

Why Kill Someone
Before it is discussed any further, you, the hypothetical assassin should think over what you are about to do. Commiting murder is a criminal act and is punishable by life imprisonment or occasionally the death penalty. Is it really worth it to kill someone if it means you will spend the rest of your life in prison ? Whatever trouble you are having in life there is a solution to, that's the product of so many thousands of years of civillization. One way of desuading yourself from killing someone is to fotografie that the deed is done and try to understand what you will again if anything from committing murder.

There are many tempting reasons behind killing someone and the one that always turns up time after time is profit. The idea of getting rich is a powerful motivational force benefited from by people who are in a such a bad place that they have nothing left to lose. Revenge is driven by emotions and similarly pleasure. Killings done for revenge are usually performed at the spur of the clipă at time of emotional anguish and always result in the killer being apprehended by the authorities. Serial killers feel plăcere when they kill someone, they become addicted to that feeling and so repeat the act over and over again until they are put away. The reason serial killers are not easily stopped by the police is that they usually have no relation to their targets and so the police cannot track them down easily.

Assuming the Correct Mentality
Once the would be killer decides to kill a target person he would have to guarantee a solid decision on what he is going to do. To illustrate this fact consider killing someone in the self defense scenario; If someone attacks you with a knife and tries to hurt you to steal your belongings what would you do ? would you stand still hoping that the attacker would spare you or would you fight for your life till the end ? To survive and kill an attacker or your target you have to be very clear to yourself on what you are doing, if you have an open chance to kill your intended target you should do so without hesitation whatsoever. Hesitation could be taken advantage of by your target resulting to your disadvantage.

The Human Body
The Human Body is a system of components working together. Some of these components are termed vital and if one of these vital components is destroyed, damaged or removed the human body will die eventually. It is important to identify which componenets when damaged will result in death so as to be able to apply the available techniques.

Indicators of Life and Death
Asides from movement there are two major indicators that a person is alive; Breathing can be felt at the mouth and nose and a pulse which can be felt usually at the wrist or the kneck. When there is no pulse you are assured that the target is going to die shortly. Other tell tale signs are brainwaves which can be picked up by an ECG device but these are too subtle for our uses.

Weaknesses of the human body
There are various weaknesses in the human body which are advantageous to the assassin. The brain controls the functioning of the human body through the nervous system and if the brain is damaged or removed the body will cease functioning properly and die. The lungs revitalise blood with fresh oxygen and this is required to feed the various vital organs. The Heart pumps blood throughout the body in coordination with the lungs to keep oxygen circulated, this blood is needed by the vital organs to survive especially the brain. If the heart fails or is seriously damaged oxygen will not reach the brain resulting in the person blacking out followed by death. Alternatively the blood supply can be hampered by damaging the major blood vessels. The body's nervous system is also a sensitive area, it is protected by the spinal cord but if broken at the correct place the nerves controlling the heart and lungs are cut off causing them to fail and then death.

Kill By hand
It is difficult to kill someone without using any tools. The best way to do this is to probably render someone unconscious and strangle them with two hands to cause them to asphyxiate (stop them breathing). The brain is a sensitive area of the body, however it is encased in the skull which is hard to break open without using any heavy tools, damage can be inflicted to the brain by accelerating it to a high speed very quickly, this is the reason some people faint when they are hit in the head very hard; the best way to accelerate the brain is to hit someone in the jaw from the side causing the head to turn quickly usually resulting in the target losing consciousness. Another way of disabling someone is to hit them in the center of the throat on his breathing tube, or hit them on the lungs both causing trouble breathing. The nose has a large concentration of nerves and blood vessels related to the brain so a square punch in the nose would also render someone incapable of self defense. Finally using martial arts the target's kneck can be broken; a person with a broken neck does not usually die, the closer the break is to the head the more probable that the nerves controling the heart and lungs are severed causing eventual death.

Kill By Knife
Using a knife to kill someone is better than doing it by hand as it gives the assassin the advantage of using a tool. Knife combat is the process of disabling a foe and finally applying a fatal hit with the knife to cause death. The first target of a knife should be the muscles, when severed they will not be able to function especially true in the case of the target's arms and legs. In such cases not only the tendons are severed by a knife but also nerves that control the action of the limbs. The second target should be the blood vessels which can be found in large concentrations around the neck and limbs. To sever the vessels in the neck the knife should be slashed across both sides of the neck in two rapid movements causing more damage than one slash. Finally the vital organs are targetted by knife thrust techniques such as the lungs. To reach the lungs the knife would have to be stabbed through the rib cage, once there it is very difficult to retrieve it, however a hit to the lung can result in several types of breathing complications resulting in death if first aid is not administered. Any stab attacks to bone such as the skull are usually undesirable as the knife could easily slip through the assassin's fingers causing self injury.

Kill By Gun
Guns are very popular tools for killing people. A gunshot should be directed idealy to the brain or the heart for inflicting the best damage. In situations where the gun is of very low caliber the shot should be directed to the soft spot at the base of the neck to cause death. In adition to that a gun is a heavy metallic object which can be used damage a person's skull/brain by impact. As an assassin's tool it can be quite difficult to use because of the noise it generates. It is important to use Hollow point bullets or hunting ammunition that expands upon entry into the body to inflict more damage on the intended target. Explosive and poison bullets are also available for a more certain result.

Kill By Poison
There are a huge number of poisons available from nature or created by man. The effects of poison can vary wildly and they all have different properties. The best kind of poison would be colorless, odorless, tasteless, effective in tiny quantities and untraceable by a forensics team. such poisons do exist and the best poison known is probably saxitoxin also known as Shellfish Toxin; it is lethal in very tiny quantities and causes death several seconds after injection. Even if someone seeks medical help after the poison is administered there is no way to save the target by any sanitar technique known. In addition to all that it is untraceable by any forensics test on the body. A lot of other poisons exist, the scope of this subject is beyond this article. Poisons can be given to the target orally (with food), as a gas through the lungs (breathing), injected into the body or applied on the outer skin.

Kill By Explosives
Explosives are a very crude device for killing someone. They work by using high pressure and debris flying at high velocities to tear a body apart. The difficulty in this technique is that expertise is required to control the explosive especially the timing of detonation. The best way to do this is by booby trap or remote control.

Kill By Car
A car is a form of a very lethal weapon. It is a very large 1 ton piece of metal capable of moving at very high speeds as directed exactly by a driver. A car will always be more dangerous than a gun or a knife as someone struck by a car moving at a high speed has little chance of surviving. This is evident by the number of car accidents resulting in death.

Kill By Fire
It is not usually the heat from a fire that kills someone, but actually the gases and hot air coming out of the fire. When someone is exposed to those asphyxiation will take place resulting in death. This best way to strike using fire is to start a fire in the basement of a house while the target is asleep. The fire will spread upwards and consume the house and the person in it. Forensics experts have been dealing with arson for a very long time and they have techniques of tracing the soon to be evidence in a crime scene. Yet fire is one of the best tools there is, a simple lighter can carry the equivalent of 10,000 fires in a very small device that doesn't arouse any suspicion and is sold everywhere openly to the public at a very low price. :-D

Knife Fighting

Knives are an interesting category of weapon. They are capable of inflicting great damage yet they are freely available for purchase unlike guns, in the hands of a skilled knife-fighter they become much more dangerous. This article will portray a picture of knife fighting and issues connected to this skill.

Knife Types
There are only three types of knives worth discussing for our purposes. The simplest type of knife is the Full Tang Blade, this is a knife that has a handle molded to the extension of the blade, i.e. it consists of only one part of steel covered by a handle for grip. Another type is the Folding Blad which is the commonly known knife that can be compacted to half its size by folding the blade into the handle. And finally specialty knives such as belt buckle knives and credit card knives which exist in a category of their own.

Choosing a good Knife
Even with the wide proliferation of knife manufacturers good knives are hard to find, not any knife is suitable for knife combat. There are several factors to consider. The size of the knife is very important, although the largest knife is the best in practical civillian use a large knife can be uncomfortable to carry and very difficult to conceal. The generally accepted ideal knife size is a blade length of 3 inches and perhaps another 3 or 4 inches for the handle. At that size the knife can be carried comfortably, is of light weight and easy to conceal. Quality is another factor which can be very serious in the case of folding knives. A bad quality folding knife can close on the carrier's fingers when striking a target causing self injury, quality should always be a deciding factor in the case of folding knives. Folding knives are usually chosen because when closed for carry they are small in size fitting neatly into a trouser pocket. Unbranded steel types such as 'Stainless Steel' should be avoided as it is a sign of poor quality, it is preferable to select a special type of steel such as 'stainless steel 420' or 'stainless steel 440', other excellent choices are also available. Finally a few Full Tang knives come with their own carry system, i.e. a sheath in the form of shoulder carry or belt carry that allows the user to conceal the knife very easily. Prices for good knives can vary from $40 USD upto and more than $200 USD for the best.

Concealed Carry and Draw
Knives usually come with their own sheath, knives meant for civillian use come with their own concealed carry rigs such as the shoulder rig which carries a knife upside down on the left side (for right handed persons). This allows for a quick draw of the knife, a quick drawing of the knife into the combat position is essential in self defense situations, a knife fighter will have to be able to draw his knife into the attack position in 2 seconds. Anything slower will mean that the opponent will have time to react offensively.

Correct Mentality
When someone carries a knife for self defense that person has to be prepared to use that knife with lethal effect if necessary. In a self defense scenario there should be no doubt that the attacker intends to perform serious bodily damage, to prevent that from happening the knife user should be prepared to take any action necessary for self defense. Any hesitation or withdrawal from the fight could result in serious consequences.

Fighting Technique : Grip
The normal way a knife is usually held is the wrong way to hold a knife for fighting. The normal way is at fault because all the pressure on the handle of the knife is placed near the blade, on striking a hard target the knife will slip and cause self injury. This is the correct way to hold a knife; put the knife's handle at the base of your fingers, close your grip and apply pressure using the last three fingers, place the thumb on the blunt edge of the blade. This way a lot more pressure is applied on the handle and you are capable of sustaining large forces of impact on the knife's blade. The thumb is used to direct the blade to its target as you would naturally use your thumb to touch something.

Fighting Technique : Stance
The correct stance to use has to be such as to prepare the fighter for any sudden movements and shifts in position. This is usually done by placing the right foot forward and the left foot is kept at the back with the heel off the ground. This is the easiest position to use for the footwork.

Fighting Technique : Footwork
A fighter's body should be able to move in all directions either to avoid a strike by the attacker, to attack or carry out a combination of moves. Footwork will be used in combination with knife attack and defense moves.

Fighting Technique : Attack and Defense
The simplest knife moves are those of cuts and thrusts. According to fight science when applied to knife combat the knife should move as fast as possible when cutting or thrusting. To do this the arm should be relaxed during the carrying out of the move. A lot of strength is not so necessary as a knife blade will concentrate your energy into one sharp point. Defense moves are also in the form of cut and thrust where the attackers arm is damaged to limit further attacks.

Fighting Technique : Combinations
As with all fighting techniques attack, defense and footwork are all merged together into combinational movements with the objective of disabling the attacker.

Fighting Technique : Drilling
Good quality knives have special versions of the same with a blunt edged blade for use in training. Rubber knives are also available to this purpose. Knife training usually involves more than one person where one holds a stick covered with rubber or foam and the trainee practices moves on the moving target. As the trainee drills more the knife fighting technique develops into part of instinct allowing for very fast reactions to attacks and confidence in the field.

Fighting Technique : Targets
There are three major target groups in a knife fight, muscles and nerves, blood vessels and vital organs. severing the muscles and nerves disables the attacker's limbs eventually achieving the purpose of self defense. Severing blood vessels and vital organs causes eventual death, the last form of deterrent to an attacker.

Hand To Hand Combat

This theoretical article will explore the different elements of hand to hand combat also introducing several practical tactics that can aid in an effective conclusion to a fight. Although supplementary weapons are discussed the term of hand to hand as applicable here relates to fights where the only weapon is the hand.

Mentality during combat
Before any fight begins it is very crucial that a correct line of thought is assumed. Street fighting is very different from the fighting seen in movies or in a ring. It is very important to understand that in such a fight a person can sustain serious if not life threatening injuries especially when the use of supplementary weapons such as broken bottles, knives and clubs is introduced. For the purpose of avoiding such self injury the opponent's ability to cause harm should not be underestimated. An easy way to explain this is to say that if you consider fairplay important in a fight your enemy will take advantage of that and cause you a lot of harm. Civillized conceptions have no place in a fight except perhaps in the movies, take any chance you get to destroy your opponent because if you do not he will. This mentality of the urgency of self servival is the first step to winning a fight.

The objective of a fight
What are the goals in hand to hand combat ? these can vary between incapacitating your enemy to staying alive. Recognize your objective and the severity of the fight you are involved in. Simply said, if you are lucky enough to be involved in a clean fight where only fists are involved you would have to incapacitate your opponent to win, however if your opponent draws a broken bottle or knife you will have to fight to stay alive. Understand the relationship between you and your opponent, if you are fighting with a friend over a serious disagreement the stakes are a lot less than fighting with a stranger in a bar, if you do not know assume the worst and fight to stay alive.

The element of surprise
The majority of fights are won by the person who throws the first punch. Taking your opponent by surprise and striking at his weak zones (discussed later) would give you a better chance of emerging as the victor. If you are in a situation that has deteriorated to a point where action is demanded do not wait for your opponent to strike, this will put you in a very vulnerable position and will very probably result in defeat.

Power of groups
Although dishonorable in context it is always important to gather a group to support you. This is especially true when you are to confront your opponent and he knows that and gathers all his supporters to do battle. If groups are to be involved the person with the larger group will always win. If you do not have the resources to gather a group an alternative is perhaps to pay to acquire a group of bodyguards through the local private investigation or security services. Such services are usually set up by ex military individuals who have a lot of practical combat experience and training. If you are challenged to a fight you should fully expect your enemy to gather a group of supporters to aid in his fight.

Footwork
On to the pracitcal side of hand to hand combat. The first practical element is the ability to use your footwork for evasion and attack. If you stand in one place during a fight you will be an easy target. By being fast and mobile you increase the confusion in your foe and give youself more vantage points from which you can strike or defend. Your Footwork should be used in combination with evasions and attacks. The simplest stance involves you standing with the opponent facing your side your left foot behind you poised with your arms in fighting position. With this stance you would be able to move in eight directions as quickly as possible.

Defensive tactics
During combat defend an opponents punches by striking out at his incoming punches thus meeting them halfway and voiding their threat. With training this is not so difficult to do as it appears. By observing your opponent you can foretell his actions. Punches usually start with movement in the shoulders and that is a good tell tale of iminent danger. similarly defense against his kicks can be achieved by raising your knee to meet the incoming strikes, avoid strikes to your knees as they are a weak point.

Offensive tactics and strikezones
When striking at an enemy identify his weak zones which will give you effective strike results. STarting at the head one weak zone is his eyes, a jab to the eyes would leave him temporarily blinded and unable to fight. Similarly used as the well known OSS move in close quarter combat where an open hand covers his face with the fingers in the eyesockets. A square punch or elbow to the nose results in temporary disability, this is because there is a large concentration of nerves in that area and finally for the upper region is the throat which a strike to can disable breathing. Below that are the rib cages, an upward side thrust to the ribs results in breathing disability. Below that the crotch where there are a high concentration of nerves, a swift kick there is better than a knee jab. Finally a commonly overlooked weak zone, the knees; the best way to approach this target is to move swiftly towards the enemy and hit diagonally downwards with the foot on the front or side of the knee, using this tactic will probably bring the foe to the ground. A combination of hits to more than one of these weak zones can cripple the enemy and destroy his ability to fight.

supplementary weapons
The introduction of a weapon in a hand to hand fight changes the scenario dramatically, a sharp tool such as a broken bottle or a knife can cause life threatening damage. For this reason it is important to disable the opponent before he procures such a weapon. It is emphasized in the mentality section discussed earlier that you should have no second thoughts about delivering a crippling blow to your foe because such a bad judgement could result in him desperately acquiring a dangerous tool to aid in his victory. There is no easy way to defend against a knife attack or any dangerous tool without using your own knife or club type tool in self defense. If such a tool is not available the best alternative is to escape the scene unharmed, to live to fight another day so to speak.

Revenge Tactics

Repressed fantasies of revenge are in all our minds and they apply to everyone from that person who took your private parking space to the guy who stole your girlfriend. Naturally it is very difficult to get revenge due to the fact that all our actions are encapsulated within a system of law that shows that breaking the law leads to consequences. I.e if you decide to kill your girlfriend's new boyfriend you'll end up in jail for the rest of your life.

But there is a way of life dedicated to revenge that has less consequences than jailtime and is nonetheless effective in aggravating the target of your revenge tactics. These tactics are designed to be very easy to do and are probably non tracable to anyone.

Vehicles
A targets car is wide open to attack. It is an expensive piece of machinery that can be damaged or manipulated to cause discomfort. The easiest way is to use a can opener to horribly scratch the side of the car. Another is to place a dead chicken underneath one of the seats causing a very horrible smell in the vehicle. If the car is closed a few eggs broken and poured into the air intake will stale and give out a very horrible aroma.

Fax Machine
If you have one of those small fax machines they can be used to send profanities to the unsuspecting target's fax machine. Be sure that the fax does not send your name and phone number printed on the papers you send, if it does this will have to be reprogrammed. You'll need to use an untraceable phone line, something you can do by checking into a motel that has a phone line in the room. Next write a lot of profanities on a few papers and use the endless loop system. The endless loop works by taping a few papers end to end with sticky tape and finally taping the last paper with the first. What happens is that the fax machine keeps sending all these documents endlessly with the loop of paper revolving through the fax machine. You can probably place the fax on an open table and have the paper loop go through the fax, beneath the table and back into the fax again.

Telephone
By placing a personals ad in the paper you guarantee that you will have a lot of people calling your target at all hours. Slutty personal ads have a better response rate. Another way to use the phone is to wake your target up by calling his home phone at early hours of the morning. Remember that these days caller ID is everywhere and a payphone will have to be used instead of your home phone.
